Pat is a child psychologist who has helped me out tremendously.  I have frequently had concerns about my parental responsibilities and decisions.  She has been a fabulous resource for me in developing my parenting skills.  She is also a terrific person.  Her character is honest and kind.  She is a woman of integrity who commands respect by standing on her truth.  Her demeanor is calm and soothing.  Her words are wise and to the point.  Her husband, David, is also a psychologist—they share a practice in the same office.  Pat’s perceptions and comments on gender bias in her field have been illuminating for me.  She spends a good amount of time in the courtroom as a witness in custody cases.  Pat and David have two daughters in whose lives they are very much involved.
